Grazing boards + party platters New York City

Boards worthcrowding around.

Grazing boards, party platters and full grazing tables, built to order in Brooklyn and delivered across the five boroughs in a two-hour window. Cheese from twelve creameries, charcuterie sliced the morning of, and enough of it that nobody has to be polite about seconds.

Live price as you build. No account needed.

CravePlatter is a grazing board studio, not a caterer with a website. We keep a standing larder of forty-eight things, we buy from twelve producers we have actually stood in a room with, and we build every board the morning it is eaten — because a platter is the only dish at a party that has to look finished before anyone touches it.

04The numbers

We work with the people who have to make a room feel taken care of — workplace leads, event producers, and anyone who has ever been handed a budget and a raw loft with no kitchen.

05House standards

How we builda board

A platter is mostly a series of small refusals. These are ours — the six we will not trade away for margin, and the reason a CravePlatter board looks the way it does when the lid comes off.

01

We buy from people we have met

Twelve producers, all of whom we have visited. If we cannot name the person who made it, it does not go on the board.

02

Sliced the morning of

Charcuterie oxidises in hours, not days. Nothing is cut the night before, which is why our cut-off is 11am and not midnight.

03

Allergens labelled, not implied

Every board ships with a printed card listing all nine major allergens by item. Nut-free builds are prepped on a separate bench.

04

Cold chain or it does not ship

Boards travel in insulated crates with a logged probe reading. If a van breaks the chain, the board is destroyed and remade.

05

Abundance is the point

We portion at roughly 1.4× what a caterer would call adequate. A board that looks picked-over at hour one has already failed.

06

We take the crates back

Boards, risers, crates and linen are ours and they come home. The only thing we leave behind is compostable, and there is not much of it.

What the roomsaid after

06Client stories

A long table of guests eating and talking in a warmly lit room.

Ninety people, a raw loft with no kitchen, and forty minutes. CravePlatter built a twelve-foot table in the corner and by the time the doors opened it looked like the entire party had been designed around the food. It had not.

Priya Raghunathan Head of Workplace, Halyard Studio

We moved our Thursday client lunch to a standing order and the meeting got better. That is a genuinely stupid sentence to write down and it is also true.

Marcus Adeyemi Managing Partner, Ostrand Capital

My sister has a serious tree-nut allergy and for once I did not have to interrogate anyone. The card listed every item. She ate off the same board as everybody else.

The builder is there for a specific room. These four are there for a Tuesday, and they are the reason most people never open the builder at all.

08Before you order

The questionswe get most

How far ahead do I need to order?

Grazing boards and party spreads: order by 11am for next-day delivery, and same-day if we have capacity — the builder will tell you honestly. Grazing tables need five business days, because they are built on site and we have to schedule a crew and a van for your window. Anything over 150 guests, give us ten days.

How do you handle allergies?

Every board ships with a printed card listing all nine major allergens — milk, eggs, fish, shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, wheat, soybeans and sesame — item by item, not as a blanket disclaimer. Nut-free builds are prepped on a separate bench with separate boards and separate knives. We are a facility that handles all nine, so we will tell you plainly when we cannot guarantee something rather than hedge.

Where do you deliver?

Manhattan below 125th, all of Brooklyn, Queens west of Flushing, and Jersey City and Hoboken. Everything else in the tri-state is quotable but goes out as a packed build rather than an on-site one. Snack boxes ship cold to any address in the contiguous US.

Do I keep the board?

Your choice. Walnut and slate boards are $45 and $30 if you want to keep one; otherwise leave it out with the crate and we collect on the next run through your neighbourhood, usually within two days. There is no charge and no deposit — we have been doing it this way since 2021 and we lose about four boards a year.

Can you invoice my company?

Yes. Standing orders and anything over $1,200 can go on net-30 terms once we have a signed order form. We carry $2m general liability and $1m auto, and we will send a certificate of insurance naming your building as additional insured — most Manhattan freight lifts want one before they will let a crew up.

What if my headcount changes?

Up to 48 hours before the window you can move the number freely, in either direction. Inside 48 hours we can add guests but not remove them, because the cheese has already been cut against your brief. If the room shrinks, you will simply have a more generous board, which has never once been a complaint.
